for Bachelor's Program

A. Academic

1. At least 12 years
of education (HSC equivalent).

B. Language Proficiency

1. If applying for a
course taught in Swedish or for general acceptance into an institution,
applicants outside of the Nordic countries must meet one of the following
requirements:

a. Successfully
passed ‘Swedish Language as a second language’ from upper secondary school or

b. Successfully
passed Level 3 in Swedish at a university or

c. Successfully
passed one-year study in Swedish language and society for foreign students from
a university college or

d. successfully
passed test in Swedish at higher level with a minimum score of 450

2. Where the language
of instruction is English, you require IELTS band score 5.5 to 6.0 or TOEFL CBT
scores 213 or iBT score 79 to 80


D. Course Length

1. Bachelor's Degree:
Approx. 3 years of study.

A. Tuition Fees

Tuition Fees in
Sweden varies according to the reputation & location of the university.
Average tuition fee range for Business Students in from 85,000 SEK to 95,000
SEK.


B. Living & Other Expense

The average
university student's budget is approximately 700 euro per month for one
academic year. This amount should cover most monthly expenses such as housing,
food, clothing, study material, books, transport and social activities etc.

 How & when
to Apply

1. Applications for
master’s programmes should be made directly to the host university where you
plan to study.



2. Application
deadlines for programmes starting at the end of August usually lie between
mid-January and March 1st.



3. A few programmes
also have a spring intake of students, starting at the end of January.

Information

A. Working in Sweden
1. A student may work part-time for up to 20
hours per week when a work permit is granted without any work permit.
2. Students are normally allowed to work full
time during semester breaks.

C. Jobs in Sweden

2. Average wages: Students can earn around 8
euro.

D. Credit Transfer Facility.
1. Students may apply for credit transfer
program at undergraduate or postgraduate level in Sweden.
2. The maximum amount of credit that may be
granted normally is not greater than 50% of the course.
3. Most of the Swedish universities consider
minimum "B" grade for acceptance.
4. You have to submit the following documents
to your target university:
a. Your application form for the
Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program.
b. Official copies of your academic
transcript.
c. Also include an official letter from head
of the school/department of your university, from where you have already
completed the courses.
d. Detailed course outlines (Official Copy)
including subject descriptions, methods of teaching and assessment, reading
lists, number of hours of teaching etc.
e. The academic level you are studying (e.g.
First Year, Second Year etc.) f. How many credits you have completed
g. An explanation of the grading system used
at your institution.
h. Information on the total units of study
requirement (i.e. how many credits are required) for the completion of the
degree.

E. Scholarships
1. The Swedish Institute, a government
agency, offers a limited number of scholarships for highly qualified students
at the advanced/master’s level.



2. The scholarships are granted for one
academic year at a time and cover living expenses.



3. The EU’s Erasmus Mundus Programme includes
generous scholarships for non-European students at selected European joint
programmes offered by Swedish universities and their European partners.
